About The Blue Knot

Are you ready to set sail onto the open seas and save the people of the harbour? Time is running out and we need your help! The Blue Knot is a 45-minute interactive sea-shanty musical adventure for children aged 4 to 8 years old and their families. It features original songs performed live on musical instruments, alongside singing and moving to music together. Our story tells the tale of a Captain who is on a journey to help feed the harbour community. The Captain wants to find food for the people of the harbour but will greed get the better of them? WINNER - Festival Directors' Discretionary Award - Durham Fringe Festival 2025 Created and performed by Merryweather Theatre, an arts company which writes and develops musical adventures specifically for young children and their families. With 50+ performances in theatres and arts venues around the UK, we are very excited to be bringing The Blue Knot to Brighton Fringe!
