About Paul Silverthorne (LSO) plays recent works for viola by Magnus Lindberg, Brett Dean and Poul Ruders

Join us for a thrilling evening with internationally acclaimed violist Paul Silverthorne and pianist Roderick Chadwick. Described by The Times as “a virtuoso in sensitivity and technique,” Paul Silverthorne has built an exceptional career that balances international solo performances with principal viola roles in two of London’s most distinguished ensembles: the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Sinfonietta. A passionate advocate for contemporary music, Silverthorne has inspired leading composers to write specifically for him, drawn to his expressive range and fearless artistry. Partnering with him is the remarkable pianist Roderick Chadwick, hailed in Fanfare as “an incredibly musical pianist", in a programme featuring works by Magnus Lindberg, Brett Dean, Poul Ruders, and other significant voices of our time. Together, they create a musical experience of intensity and striking modernity. Expect a night of bold colours, daring rhythms, and unforgettable performances.
