A tribute to Ozzy - A classical guitar recital

Matthew Sear: A Tribute to Ozzy. From Ozzy to Bach – A Guitar Journey You are very warmly invited to my guitar recital at the Brighton Fringe. I’m a classical guitarist and composer, and my work has featured on everything from Netflix UFO documentaries, too BBC Radio 3, to the Concert Platform. Most people know me for classical music — but my whole journey began at age 13, when I was lent a cassette of Ozzy Osbourne: Randy Rhoads Tribute. Ozzy’s music, and especially Randy Rhoads’ extraordinary guitar playing, first drew me toward the world of classical music. With Ozzy’s recent passing, I want to celebrate that connection — performing music that inspired his guitarists, the influences they shared (from The Beatles to Bach), and my own reworkings of iconic Black Sabbath and Ozzy pieces arranged for classical guitar. If you love discovering how heavy metal and classical music inspire one another, I think this will be a recital you’ll truly enjoy.
