Blues — but not as you know it. The legendary Son of Dave returns to the UK for a rare live performance at the Electro Blues Shack, Caravanserai. From the wilder edges of foot-stomping Americana to gritty electro-blues we’re reviving our infamous club that was a resident at The Green Door Store for many years. Headlining is Son of Dave, a one-man blues phenomenon (Benjamin Darvill, formerly of Crash Test Dummies) whose hugely influential looping harmonica, beatbox grooves, stomping rhythms and growling vocals have earned cult status — from soundtracking Breaking Bad and Preacher to appearances on Later... with Jools Holland. Support comes from Brighton’s Country Ties, bringing their blend of country, bluegrass and Americana with rich harmonies and barn-dance energy. Between sets, DJs including Nick Hollywood (Electro Blues/White Mink) and The Chairman spin vinyl blues and vintage cuts. Live blues, country, Americana and bluestronica - the perfect way to close the Fringe weekend.
