About Snow Along the Line
Snow Along the Line traces the life of an extraordinary yet ordinary woman whose journey spans nearly a century of change. Born in 1928, only months before the Equal Franchise Act granted women full voting rights, her story begins in the industrial heartland of North East England and traces the decline of the mining industry to South Wales. Through songs, poems, archival images, backing tracks and narration, theatre-maker and musician Phil Jones, and actor Hannah Barrie, captures the rhythm of a life shaped by both sweeping change and everyday triumph. The production explores themes relating to death of a loved one which some audience members may find upsetting.
