About Sameera Bowers: What Is Going On?

Sameera’s mum was proud when she graduated with a degree in Economics from Cambridge. Less so when she went to clown school. Now Sameera needs to find a job. On LinkedIn, she is a “changemaker, global innovator and value-driven impact leader.” But in life, she has no idea what she’s doing. In this multimedia comedy hour, Sameera searches for clarity through psychic guidance, grapples with the science of perfectly spherical cows, plots her rise as the leader of an Indian tutoring empire and wants to make her grandma proud. If all else fails, she plans to become the first 22-year-old living in an old-age nursing home. Sameera was a member of The Cambridge Footlights (2025) and this year trained at the École Phillipe Gaulier clown school in France. In 2025 What Is Going On? completed a sellout run at the Camden Fringe and Sameera performed in the 5-star, award-winning comedy play Penelope Quadrangle at the Edinburgh Fringe, in which critics called her performance “genius” (Varsity).
