About Opera Gala - Sussex Symphony Orchestra
A fantastic afternoon of operatic favourites with two fantastic soloists. A real treat for music-lovers. Nadine Benjamin is a charismatic and versatile soprano who is in increasing demand on both the operatic stage and the concert platform. Hailed by "Opera Now" magazine as one of their favourite top ten sopranos in “a new generation of sopranos who are destined to have impressive careers”, Nadine won the inaugural Fulham Opera Robert Presley Memorial Verdi Prize in 2015. Gilles Van der Linden is a talented tenor who celebrated his debut at La Monnaie in the role of Rodriguez in Massenet's Don Quixote. The same year he was selected for the "Académies du Festival d'Aix-en-Provence" where he obtained the title of "Laureate" and was invited in that capacity by the festival of Verbier (Switzerland).
