Maja Bloom and Sudeepta Sanyal (Work In Progress)

Two female comics, Sudeepta and Maja, combine forces to perform a powerful WIP at Brighton Fringe: They are 40, Foreign and Ferocious. Maja Bloom is a multilingual actress, singer and stand-up comedian best known for playing Carrow in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. She has a loyal and growing fanbase (including at least one Oscar winner who showed up at her show unannounced). Calling herself "the Foot Putter" (title of her debut solo show) because of her knack for saying the unexpected, she charms audiences with her frank takes on society as a Brit who never feels quite British enough. Maja's fresh comedic style is the one to watch. Sudeepta Sanyal is a stand-up comedian based in London. Runners up at the West end New Old Act 2025, she is also a part of the SOHO Theatre Comedy Labs plus 2026. She is a cohort of Brown Sauce X Tara Theatre 2025. Her stand-up is rooted in cultural confusion and emotional truths, delivered with honesty, with zero interest in being someone she is not.
