Improbotics Presents: Artificial Reality

Improvised show where audiences become producers and join the cast on the stage. With questionable methods, AI, wild characters, and deep fake celebrities, we sabotage reality TV. A fast-paced high-tech satire of AI slop and voyeurism from Improbotics, the award-winning pioneers of robot theatre. Led by an Executive Producer host, the crowd chooses setting, contestants, prize, and celebrities who turn up. 6 contestants compete for audience love. Because of budget cuts, "celebrities" must be recreated using our own questionable "artificial reality" methods (state-of-the-art deep fake, voice cloning, image and video generation, and special AR glasses to send lines from a chatbot to control the "celebrity" actor). As improvisers transform into contestants and get eliminated, replaced, or rebooted by AI, the show becomes a hilarious exploration of improv and reality TV mashed together, and a subtle critique of capitalism and of the rise of AI in entertainment.
