Brighton Rocks Film Festival - Programme Launch!

At this launch event, Brighton Rocks Film Festival Director and team will introduce the festival’s ethos, give highlights of the upcoming event (15-21 June) and invite discussion around what audiences want and need from a film festival today. Filmmakers featured in this year’s programme will also present sneak-preview clips and talk about their work. Brighton Rocks is proud to showcase some of the most diverse, original and boundary-pushing films being made today. Now in its 9th edition, the festival has become one of Brighton’s key platforms for independent cinema. This year’s programme includes amazing films made in Brighton alongside LGBTQIA+, student and experimental work, documentaries and dramas. The festival will also feature special strands focused on challenging transphobia and responding to troubling political trends, highlighting film as a space for resistance and debate. Afterwards everyone is invited to continue the conversation informally at The Actors Pub.
