★ Brighton Fringe Comedian of the Year 2026 ★ The Brighton Fringe Comedian of the Year competition is a key platform for identifying outstanding emerging stand-up talent. Bringing together comedians from across the UK circuit, the competition showcases strong original material, assured stagecraft and distinctive comic voices. Through a series of semi finals where the act with the largest audience vote with go through and one act that is chosen by an industry professional guest judge. one act is ultimately selected as the standout comedian of Brighton Fringe 2026 with two other placing gaining valuable industry recognition and profile at one of the UK’s leading comedy festivals. There are 6 Semi Finals in which 2 acts will go through from each with the Final being a 12 act double bill on Sunday 31st
